Hello out there. My name is Jennifer and I am definitely flighty and creative. I say that because I have about ten thousand ideas for crafty projects floating around in my head all the time, and want to do them all – right this minute. But the constraints of time and reality tend to get in the way.
I’m married to a (fairly) patient guy named George who occasionally participates in my projects, but typically just tries to stay out of the way. We live on a little piece of land in North Texas where we have lots of animals – mostly cows, but there are horses, donkeys, llamas, goats and chickens too. And I can’t forget about the dogs and cats, and our one awesome sheep.
We own a business called Innovative Solutions Texas, LLC (IST for short). The name doesn’t really tell you what we do, but if you read the first paragraph, you probably won’t be surprised to know we do several different things under the umbrella of IST. We started it as a promotional products business while George was still in the Army, and moved it to our current location once he retired and I left federal service. We have recently added laser engraving to the services we offer. I will be posting articles and pictures of some of our items within the pages of this blog.
George also has a branch of the business called Evanko Farm and Ranch Services. He offers fencing, mowing, welding, and other similar projects. I will likely be posting some pictures of his projects too (when he isn’t camera shy).
Although it doesn’t fall under the IST umbrella, I am also an Independent Demonstrator for Stampin’ UP! because I love to make cards and other paper crafts, and share them. Look for some of these projects within this blog as well. I also do several other crafts when I have time – quilting, jewelry-making and crochet mostly. But I love to make things, so I might see something and need to make it even if I have no idea how. Thanks Pinterest.
George and I are both finishing up graduate school, which we have been working on for the last couple of years. Turns out you’re never to old to learn a thing or two. And one last thing that will likely show up in the blog here and there – we have been working to remodel our house for the last two years. But we are almost finished (until we think of something else to do).
So I hope you enjoy the blog and keep coming back to see what we come up with next.
